Gegen 17.45 Uhr folgte eine Gruppe Texaner, Italiener, Tschechen und natuerlich eine ganze Hord Deutsche (uns eingeschlossen) dem weiblichen Ranger Jeanne zum sogenannten "Sunset Stroll" (ausgedeutscht: Sonnenuntergangsspaziergang).<br /><br /><em>Alamogordo.....well, what to say about it. Alamogordo is right in the desert, in the </em></span><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chihuahuan_Desert"><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>Chihuahuan Desert</em></span></a><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>, a typical american smalltown. But the greatest attraction in Alamogordo is the </em></span><a href="http://www.nps.gov/whsa/"><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>White Sands National Monument</em></span></a><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>. Big dunes of gypsum had buried about 275 qm desert and created the biggest gypsum field in the world. A 13 km long road is leading from the visitor center to the heart of the dunes. About nnon we walked a part of the first trail. The air was hot but the gypsum sand felt more cool than expected. As the first photos were taken we've decided to come back later and went back to the air conditioned shopping mall in Alamogordo (White Sands Mall). After a short agreement *grin* we treated ourselves there with a professional pedicure *sigh*. With "shiny" toes we went back to the white dunes in the evening. At about 5.45 pm a group of Texans, Italians, Czechs and of course a couple of Germans (us included) was following Ranger Jeanne on the so called "Sunset Stroll".</em></span></div><br /><br /><div align="justify"></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjov4XttyL3QyjjQL0LAxX81KBNWzUEPHWS3rg0DvAogBMmOLIIo5bwZXHULfosLZCGBM4LXRp8RVhKAYtb0NxufTL2UNXfGMgXeHFWueF07vdT-3O6E0gI62afqZKX7MEHXOBVdem_yD1n/s1600-h/whitesands1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250425705655517442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjov4XttyL3QyjjQL0LAxX81KBNWzUEPHWS3rg0DvAogBMmOLIIo5bwZXHULfosLZCGBM4LXRp8RVhKAYtb0NxufTL2UNXfGMgXeHFWueF07vdT-3O6E0gI62afqZKX7MEHXOBVdem_yD1n/s400/whitesands1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjDPlc7PIfTjVbqLF3n8eWHGHdepjpdhNVs-ZthfpuF_SZpLnwecZpqEhDwlHZ6kG5VLLQ61PQw2T_pzRrhCnKNtSlhCc4BqVcNDK9Io8mRL3RSnH1hI8xusikDnUwBl8flEf4yB5e0xYG/s1600-h/whitesands2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250425706053962354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjDPlc7PIfTjVbqLF3n8eWHGHdepjpdhNVs-ZthfpuF_SZpLnwecZpqEhDwlHZ6kG5VLLQ61PQw2T_pzRrhCnKNtSlhCc4BqVcNDK9Io8mRL3RSnH1hI8xusikDnUwBl8flEf4yB5e0xYG/s400/whitesands2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5TpabvGe-Hnk9A5tm0zGyaQQu7HDsH2rml13QWavV3zoM_qBrT1s0YAVcVAA_d8ibfcL3gERaUle73KIvTqw6j_c6iQTbKvQXC9KGTBWPDHAwRU2k41DCz7HjhmGxws3_Rt-MlR7dN_eb/s1600-h/whitesands3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250425705672803906" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5TpabvGe-Hnk9A5tm0zGyaQQu7HDsH2rml13QWavV3zoM_qBrT1s0YAVcVAA_d8ibfcL3gERaUle73KIvTqw6j_c6iQTbKvQXC9KGTBWPDHAwRU2k41DCz7HjhmGxws3_Rt-MlR7dN_eb/s400/whitesands3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVYOccw9cqzet-7bBjjtideAqmxu-3JyYF0869ItQ0Ej9p5GSLoCsulBvpzZZwLZKA1keY-ixBEbYtKa0-ZvD-e8XZnAf_XJTh4xEoqFInEL3f1_ezwh-DCP7f_zuXaQADmQHtiTpvSl11/s1600-h/whitesands4.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250425709996139794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVYOccw9cqzet-7bBjjtideAqmxu-3JyYF0869ItQ0Ej9p5GSLoCsulBvpzZZwLZKA1keY-ixBEbYtKa0-ZvD-e8XZnAf_XJTh4xEoqFInEL3f1_ezwh-DCP7f_zuXaQADmQHtiTpvSl11/s400/whitesands4.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBh37q6tl1Af-9gPRsmZMyCfaxlKN5Vu61nEsL6Eaoltjs_ThZ8QbtQ3AX7sa-62ye3W16JHM_HlWUCVENvxDaBdukTUhQlDSk2SJyu1397GWITLZg4OyN4clONW2iU3IBZmD1jW7WoStR/s1600-h/whitesands5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250425709344850130" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBh37q6tl1Af-9gPRsmZMyCfaxlKN5Vu61nEsL6Eaoltjs_ThZ8QbtQ3AX7sa-62ye3W16JHM_HlWUCVENvxDaBdukTUhQlDSk2SJyu1397GWITLZg4OyN4clONW2iU3IBZmD1jW7WoStR/s400/whitesands5.jpg" border="0" /></a> <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250426138876292226" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVqIJ0ptXBpNTf5n5TvmYXHMwbSMrAvXU3zd0nK3CSUK_JVioqGf3cYNfHCR0U6UG6Tjz04cd1y1F3ftZAfTXsrnuD-NbMLTnvFJp-gc2Yyj0b9ZHAZX9WVW8LBlo8_zVVKtsvSC47qTQA/s400/whitesands6.jpg" border="0" /> <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250426743046145810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJnbS17hPtlNF-KEtkJgRVCVdY3d3aWKX7PzLZAMXs0gopulV16YxOAyQVbmWmc2BGqUmPJn29DwZaU3q45M1pql9HXaYcXP7_liPsaCRK4ePoxvjmrmR-d-YHJYhewKpQsf3ys3NdOBbQ/s400/zehen.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br /><div align="justify"><br /><span style="font-family:arial;"><span style="color:#ff9900;">Sept. El Paso we declared to one of our fav cities here. Sabine wanted to come here, cause Johnny Cash got his pills illegally down here on the border to Mexico LOL - but we didn't get those of course but made a real shoppingtrip - one shopping mall after the other eine. We're not doing well though ...also our hotel ... superb rooms, the breakfast is outta imagination, the food in gerneral ... it's awful ... we have to eat such stuff like lobster and shrimps with rice with butter, for breakfast things like Pecan Waffles with soft melting sirup, fruit und creamy and tasty creamcheese. It's a dog's life.<br /><br />Yesterday evening we went to Cohen Stadium and had the full Rodeofeeling. Yeah, here I can hear some screming about torturing animals and so on. Well, I couldn"t see any torture, at least not more or less than on other horse sports. Well, we had a blast, cause a cowboy with family was sitting right on the seats in front of us and really got a bit too excited about what was going on in the arena...muahaha.<br /></em><br /><em>We'll now go to Alamogordo and White Sands National Park. Das leckerste, was wir in Seaworld in den Magen bekamen, war Frozen Lemonade (geeiste Zitronenlimonade) *mjam*.<br /><br /><br /><em>We've made a trip to </em></span><a href="http://www.shamu.com/"><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>SeaWorld San Antonio</em></span></a><span style="font-family:arial;"><em>. Next to the above told bears there were mountain lions and black widows, well, that's what the people say. The animals were bored and hot and so were we. The zoo looks nice but the animals don't have enough space in our opinion. So we'ved decided to spend the rest of the day at the hotel pool to get a tan. In the evening we pulled for gas. We were lucky, cause the gas station was running out of fuel cause of the evacuation of the coast area (thanks Ike.....). We thought we'd have really slow traffic on our way back to San Antonio the next day. After being fed up with Ike on tv we watched the new episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 and the new series Privileged.</span><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRrLqmRNb43AGV8FCGolw0nETqAKw2LAApZPPNzyhupLtC51nqkrbpJbrFyqoUscq1NN7uodZAe8s53VoEdTTgXU37w3H5gpe7OZFkmeI6Nlbiqh-5_KRYhMGgVWD6XMJtKpAOK17YbUHy/s1600-h/houstonzoo1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250683480479633970" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRrLqmRNb43AGV8FCGolw0nETqAKw2LAApZPPNzyhupLtC51nqkrbpJbrFyqoUscq1NN7uodZAe8s53VoEdTTgXU37w3H5gpe7OZFkmeI6Nlbiqh-5_KRYhMGgVWD6XMJtKpAOK17YbUHy/s400/houstonzoo1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8uLyGyEe_YM0ZH-c6xJIv4E7i6At0cOMLfZT5t6yU3MR2XcrkwAUcvAt2pradx8O_MdCIDLKZafwJRUuN9G0-4AnOpGOKDFktb_ku8pBIY2VOux3MUeeTTuONA3IKtD1syjozRHoSN4n0/s1600-h/houstonzoo2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250683486429577826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8uLyGyEe_YM0ZH-c6xJIv4E7i6At0cOMLfZT5t6yU3MR2XcrkwAUcvAt2pradx8O_MdCIDLKZafwJRUuN9G0-4AnOpGOKDFktb_ku8pBIY2VOux3MUeeTTuONA3IKtD1syjozRHoSN4n0/s400/houstonzoo2.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6vtyqKeFk4cWopcZnxW8WBj6Lvzb3bRnGiZcVR1xMjSQuyi3yviMrrWrX1uTpDaUQNzS7UkUCz79y_jZjPWUkcY6um5ovAl_h93b7IK9cKq2jkGgN-1xue1PUPu9sYM-8imgLrHU3Q6-N/s1600-h/houstonzoo3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250683486340028226" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6vtyqKeFk4cWopcZnxW8WBj6Lvzb3bRnGiZcVR1xMjSQuyi3yviMrrWrX1uTpDaUQNzS7UkUCz79y_jZjPWUkcY6um5ovAl_h93b7IK9cKq2jkGgN-1xue1PUPu9sYM-8imgLrHU3Q6-N/s400/houstonzoo3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKOuQt6_SyyT8SuDQu-tm-KjLHYkr0yqkt9Uvwj-SvQSWD2GlR-sTeVy9fgz960dYxvUqsycMfKnpy_bUR2DsT6BSUisqKfXV_KsdNVxkxExFClQsUBGG9wf_Fe3tdsboRXFTQzET2_vGU/s1600-h/houstonzoo4.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250683495155122738" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKOuQt6_SyyT8SuDQu-tm-KjLHYkr0yqkt9Uvwj-SvQSWD2GlR-sTeVy9fgz960dYxvUqsycMfKnpy_bUR2DsT6BSUisqKfXV_KsdNVxkxExFClQsUBGG9wf_Fe3tdsboRXFTQzET2_vGU/s400/houstonzoo4.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3Kp6r-GBCWuBPEiB9o3lZaUOm3LDrvBewOEUpX7irE1GZgcnq_jgA83Rg9CvLgneLUZLBWihDsELjVxNqDe60uhS2cnOXD7Fo_ACtnK6sy3t7ZP_oe-n9a4PsKh2VZYutQmRtDNAo4zr/s1600-h/houstonzoo5.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250683495131437186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3Kp6r-GBCWuBPEiB9o3lZaUOm3LDrvBewOEUpX7irE1GZgcnq_jgA83Rg9CvLgneLUZLBWihDsELjVxNqDe60uhS2cnOXD7Fo_ACtnK6sy3t7ZP_oe-n9a4PsKh2VZYutQmRtDNAo4zr/s400/houstonzoo5.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="COLOR: rgb(255,153,0);font-family:arial;" >Sept.
